SPACE AGE TOMORROW No flying cars in the cities We don't fly rockets to the moon No space stations around Mars People still have to work to live We used to dream about tomorrow, now all we have is a life full of lies Children crying in the streets People killed just to take their lands Power's in the hands of few pigs, all the others can only starve We used to dream about tomorrow, now all we have is a life full of lies ---------

BRIMSTONE RAIN Rain like brimstone sent from heaven keeps pouring down over us hammering sadness into our souls, turning our light into stone Flashes of lighting and fire above Sounds of explosions and fights There is no battle that you can win, only the one with yourself ------------

NO RETURN 06:10
NO RETURN When the choice was made you could not go back Maybe that was wrong, but nothing's always right Fighters fight their fights, writers write their books Sitting ducks are shot by those without a heart That's the way the world will turn Make a difference when you can Find your way across mine fileds and their filthy minds When your eyes are late, when your ears can't hear When your lips betray the fear you're feeling now (chorus): I'll fly across the sky right to the moon I'll open my arms and fly up to the moon My heartbeat is loud and clear, it's not too soon I'm never coming back to this old room Memories that melt hidden in the sand No one wants to know what they really did Nowhere there's a key to this partial truth Mirrors showing lines on the face of life (chorus x2)

UNPREPARED 06:00
UNPREPARED So much is falling into place at the same time Those seeds you had forgotten now are growing plants at last You started from scratch never thinking it would work, just hope Now you’re so scared it almost makes you want to run (chorus): How bright your days will be is only up to you and your choices Don’t waste your time, excuses will never do Find the right way So much is falling into place at the same time and now your burden seems to have been lifted off your shoulders You’ve always been so unprepared for the good things you get You are not used to anything that just works out (chorus x4)

Some time ago I was recording the first track for a collaborative album with great Belgian musician Syndromeda, when a melodic, vocal part came out spontaneously. When I sent him the finished track, though, he firmly rejected that vocal part. At first I didn’t understand why, but then I realized he was right. In fact, that part had nothing to do with the track, it was something personal that had simply exploded out from deep inside of me. So I removed it and decided to turn it into what it actually was: one of my solo tracks. To do so, however, I needed some inspiration and an album to record it for. I found the inspiration I needed in the usual place: the photos by my uncle and personal photography teacher Domenico “Sem” Semeraro. I went through the various photos he had sent me as candidate covers and the perfect one was there, waiting for me – it’s the one you can see on the front cover. This whole album’s concept was built on and molded around that picture.
For the record, the vocal part that started it all is the one on Brimstone Rain.

I want to thank the people who have made this album better with their presence and help:

Domenico “Sem” Semeraro: he is an endless source of inspiration through his photos, including the ones for this album.

Riccardo Chisari: he composed and performed the fantastic wordless Arab vocals on “Watching the world”. With my colander on his head.

Michael Kolk: the great voice I sampled on “Process” belongs to him, and he kindly gave me his permission to use it.

Thanks also to Daniela Zanini for allowing me to use sentences from her video on “Process” and to Maxsynths for his great instrument DR 910, which I used on “Watching the World”.

---------------------

Col mio colapasta in testa.
